Project: Conservatory

This is my Valentine's present for my special someone. Finished it up at Allan Gardens and that's where I got the name for it from. It's a simple ribbed pattern I just made on the spot after deciding through countless attempts, Thought the simpler the better since I'm working with bulky. I got the yarn on sale at Deseres for 5.99 canadian a ball so its not bad for what I got out of it. There's more pictures and description of the pattern on my ravelry page.  

Mochiland penguin

So this lil' guy is made one 2mm needles. I was at my partners house when I was whipping this up and forgot to carry a crochet needle on me. In the right box you can see I created my own crochet needle for free. I was quite pleased with myself because I thought I wasn't going to be able to finish the face. Still working on the wings. The pattern is from Mochimochiland. It's a kit I received on my birthday in march :$ (took me long to get one this) and you can make 3 lil penguins. He suits the weather ^__^

Oh my goodness, its done and I am the happiest girl in the world!
Totally worth procrastinating on homework to finish this :D

I ran out of the bernet sport red and had to use this darker red, which I had no label for but I love how it turned out. Looks like a gradient, which was unintentional but looks amazing to me :D
